Setting Up video Out In Windows


First connect your TV or monitor to your second video out plug on your computer.

In XP:
Right click anywhere on your desktop and select "Properties"
Click on the Settings Tab
Highlight the number 2 monitor and select the "extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor"
Click "apply" Then click yes when windows asks if want to keep these settings.

In Vista:
Right click anywhere on your desktop and select "Personalize"
Scroll down and click on "Display Settings"
Highlight the number 2 monitor and select the "extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor"
Click "apply" Then click yes when windows asks if want to keep these settings.

In Windows 7:

Right click anywhere on your desktop and select "Screen Resolution"
Click Detect
Set the Multiple displays drop-down box to Extend these displays and then click OK.

In Windows 8:
Go to your Metro Screen and bring up the Charms bar.
Click on Devices. You will bring up the “Second Screen” options.
Once you click on “Second Screen” you will get four different Options
Select "extend"

NOTE: Keep A 720 x 480 or 800 x 600 resolution on the external monitor as higher resolutions will waste system resources
