Adding your library to Karaoki

Click “create case” button to create a case then name it whatever you like.

Now click the “add songs” -> scan folder-> browse to a folder (where you have karaoke files on your hard drive) in the window that opens.

After scanning click yes on the prompt that follows then select the appropriate naming conventions or try using the “Extract using ID3 tags” option in the drop down box.

If you are using zip files you will have to tell Karaoki how you have your files named I.E. disk id - Artist - Title.

If your zipped files are all named differently you should then manually rename all of your files using a standard naming convention so your files all display correctly. This is also a good idea to minimize any issues that other software might have with different naming conventions down the road. There is third party software that can batch process renaming a large number of files. This however is not supported by PCDJ.

To maintain performance in Karaoki do not add more than 10,000 files to 1 (one) case in Karaoki. if you have more than 10,000 files you should spilt up your files into smaller subfolders then add each subfolder as an individual case.

You can see this quick start video which shows how to do this here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3a2qaENCkqU
